There are many benefits to becoming a member of
. Therapy dog team
members receive ongoing support through a matching service to facilities
requesting visits, insurance, identification tags and bandana for
the dog, and identification cards for the handler. Additional bandanas,
patches, T-shirts and leashes may be purchased by completing an
Order Form .
Facility members receive matching services with
therapy dog teams for regular visiting and ongoing support. Membership
Categories and Dues are as follows:
- Active Therapy Dog Team: Handlers 18 years
of age or older (or accompanied by an adult member), dogs at least
one year old, registered and actively visiting - $25 Annually
- P.U.P.S. - Practicing Until Properly Socialized; Therapy
Dog Team In-Training: Dogs at least 5 months old but
not yet a year are in-training to become an Active Therapy Dog
Team. Handlers must be at least 18 years of age - $25 Annually
(converts to Active Therapy Dog Team at one-year old). Click

Reading
Partner- Therapy Dog Team Certification: dogs who are
at least one-year old and registered with Dog B.O.N.E.S., may
be tested as a Reading Partner. Dogs who pass the Reading Partner
Therapy Dog Team Test ($10 per test) receive Reading Partner Certification
and a Reading Partner Patch.
- Additional Handlers: (Family members/Junior
members) Handlers under 18 years of age, Family members - $5 Annually
- Retired Therapy Dog Team: Retired from active
visiting but remain as members -
$5 Annually
- CGC Testing: Includes American Kennel Club
CGC Certificate and round stainless steel logo ID tag. $10 per
dog tested.
- Volunteer Members: Support the activities of
