History

is an acronym for Dogs Building Opportunities for Nurturing and Emotional Support. This Massachusetts based volunteer organization was established in May 2002 by Founder and President Jeanne Brouillette. Jeanne holds a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor's in Education and Disabilities. Jeanne's canine companion is Sir Bentley Bear, a golden retriever. Bentley received his Canine Good Citizenship and Therapy Dog Certification at one year old.

The concept for was developed because Jeanne and Bentley simply could not visit everyone who made a request. Therefore, Jeanne's idea for providing high quality therapy dog services to anyone in Massachusetts who would benefit is now a growing organization.

Our mission is to bring a little fun into someone's day as they recuperate, rehabilitate or simply live life. We do that by providing well trained, affectionate, obedient, registered and insured therapy dog teams (dog and handler) for visitation to nursing facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, libraries and any other Massachusetts location where they may provide therapeutic contact with the elderly, the disabled, or the young.

All of our services are offered free of charge to appropriate facilities and membership is open to anyone who shares in the purpose of and who is willing to volunteer their time and resources.
