HOLLISTON —

Holliston resident Olivia Albro and her dog, Roxy, graduated from the Dog Building Opportunities for Nourishing and Emotional Support (B.O.N.E.S.) program last Thursday through the Thunder Hill Canine Encounters 4H club.

Dog B.O.N.E.S. offers participants an introduction to becoming a therapy dog team. Albro and Roxy were among about 10 owners and dogs who graduated from the program, which Thunder Hill invited to work with club members.

As a therapy dog team, Albro and Roxy can work with people at hospitals, schools, nursing homes and other facilities.

Albro, a junior leader at Thunder Hill, and Roxy will participate in the 4H program's Spring Fling Dog Show on May 16 at the Wrentham State School grounds. The dogs will compete in showmanship and obedience; kids will compete in written knowledge.

Thunder Hill serves youths between 8 and 19 in Norfolk County.
